The second multiplayer map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. The Resurgence Pack will debut on Xbox Live in June.
The worldwide release date for the Xbox 360 version of this content is June 3rd. The Stimulus Package, the first map pack for MW2, was also a timed exclusive for the 360 and arrived on the PS3 and PC about a month later. I'd expect a similar delay here as well.
The Resurgence Pack will have five maps. Considering it's the same size as the Stimulus Package, it will likely be priced at $15 (1200 MS Points) as well.
In honor of the Resurgence Pack's release, Infinity Ward will host two Double XP weekends soon. The first begins on May 28th and the second on June 4th.

The Resurgence Map Pack is destined to infuriate gamers who only back in March balked at $15 for the Stimulus Package. Now with the Resurgence Map Pack set for June 3, Modern Warfare 2 just got a whole heap more expensive with players forced to shell out another $15 for just a few maps.
Resurgence Map Pack
Like the Stimulus Package, the Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Map Pack contains three new maps and two recycled from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The two old maps are Vacant and Strike and are definitely two of the funnest maps from the old game. Vacant is the many roomed warehouse and Strike is the city with the long open street and loads of vantage points, much like Invasion.
The three new maps in the Resurgence Map Pack are Carnival, Trailer Park and Fuel with Infinity Ward claiming that finally there is another sniper friendly map included. Like the previous map pack, the Xbox 360 will get a month's headstart on the PS3 version of the Modern Warfare 2 DLC.
It seems scandalous that Activison are making gamers pay so much while its close rival Battlefield 2 Bad Company has free map packs and there isn't even a discount for those who have already bought the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC. Will the Resurgence Map Pack be as successful as the $2.5m selling Stimulus Package? Probably unlikely as if you've bought both map packs you will almost have shelled out for a new game. Also three new maps and two old ones don't really seem value for money for this Resurgence Map Pack.
