The first harvest (early spring) is when the highest quality leaf is picked. With higher quality comes higher prices and if you are unsure of the reputation of the manufacturer you could be paying for an impure product.
In Asian countries on average people consume about 3 Cups daily. Some research even indicates that as much as 10 Cups per day may be necessary to achieve a noticeable difference in health benefits from green tea consumption.
Not only would it be time consuming to brew that many cups but it would also command many trips to the bathroom.
