Different Views About Beauty Between Chinese and American
As the saying goes, a fair lady is a perfect match for a gentleman. No one will not be fond of the beautiful things, especially fond of the beautiful women. Although there exists some international standards of the beauty, beauty is measured by different countries and nations because those countries and nations have their own characteristics and views about beauty. Chinese cannot understand American's special aethestic standard about women. For instance, Ling Bai and Lucy Liu who are of ordinary-looking enjoyed great popularity in the US, however, in most Chinese eyes, they are not beautiful. Why we prefer the ordinary-looking ones?
1. Chinese men's aethestic standard about women

No matter in what age, in Chinese men's opinions, beautiful women should be with white skin, delicate facial feature, nice breasts and attractive legs.
2. American men's aethestic standard about women
Keywords: personalities, hairstyle, lip makeup and eye makeup
Americans always speak highly of the person of their own personalities. That's how they judge the beauty too. To American men, women with simple jeans, sneakers, dark skin, round breasts and buttocks are charming. As for the appearance of women, American men have a higher standards about their hair styles. Highlight of personalities is also the main point in hair styles. That is to say, no matter whether one woman's hair is freaky or elegant, she will be treated as beautiful if it shows her characteristics and personalities. Eye makeup and lip makeup take the second place among American men's standards. Women may look attractive with plump and sexy lips and charming and bright eyes.
3. Examples to prove different views about beauty between Chinese and American.
Angelina Jolie' s facial features may not meet the standards of beauty. However, since she is truly a modern women who has characters, she is the goddess of most men. Another example is that American women with dark skin stand for health and beauty, even through some Americans do have the racial prejudice against the black. Most Americans try every means to tan their skins to get darker. They never try to purchase any parasols. On the contrary, Chinese are advocate of white skin. It has even become one items of the criterion to choose their spouse. Chinese women will cover their skin or wear sunblock or stay out of the sun.
The difference of aesthetic standards between Chinese and Americans, to some extent, really can reflect the roots of their different social situations.
